Product details

The Salomon Indicator freeride snowboard is built for those bottomless days at Big White, when the Okanagan powder piles up and every turn deserves a board that floats. Its tapered directional shape and long rockered nose keep the tip surfacing effortlessly through deep snow, while camber underfoot holds an edge when you drop back onto Silver Star's groomed runs on the way home.

KEY FEATURES

Powder Camber profile — camber between the feet for carving precision, with a long rockered nose for effortless float in deep snow

Tapered Directional shape with Radial sidecut for stable, fluid turn initiation forward and switch

Full-length Aspen wood core with Popster construction, milled around the insert packs for added pop and energy transfer

Damplifer cork and ABS insert in the nose to absorb vibration at high speed

Ghost Carbon Beams in the nose and tail for extra pop and stability when things get fast

All Mountain EB edges with a 1.5° base and side bevel for solid hold with no hang-ups

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Indicator is built for advanced-to-expert riders who spend their days chasing freeride and powder terrain rather than staying on groomers. It rewards a confident, aggressive riding style with the float and stability to match.

FAQ

Q.What is Powder Camber and how is it different from regular camber?
Powder Camber pairs a traditional cambered zone underfoot, which gives strong edge hold and carving precision, with a much longer rockered section on the nose than a standard camber board. That extra nose rocker helps the tip rise up and float through deep snow instead of diving, while the camber underfoot keeps the ride locked-in and responsive on firmer terrain.

Q.Is the Salomon Indicator good for powder days at Big White?
Yes — the tapered directional shape, setback stance feel, and rockered nose are specifically designed to help the board plane up and float through deep, fresh snow, which makes it a strong match for the kind of powder days Big White is known for. It also holds up fine on groomed runs when the storm cycle passes.

Q.Does the Indicator ride well switch?
The Indicator uses a directional (not twin) shape, so it's built to perform best riding forward rather than switch. The Radial sidecut does give it reasonably consistent response in both directions, but riders who want equal switch performance should look at a true twin shape instead.
