Product details

The Salomon Assassin Snowboard is built for riders who want to chase Big White's deep Okanagan powder one run and hit side features the next. Its directional twin shape and Rock Out Camber profile combine stable, locked-in carving with rockered tip-and-tail float, so the Assassin stays equally at home in the trees, off groomers, and lapping park features at Silver Star.

KEY FEATURES

Rock Out Camber (Rocker/Camber/Rocker) profile — flat and stable between the bindings, camber underfoot, rockered tip and tail for pressability and float

Full-length Aspen wood core with Bamboo Rods for added pop and drive

Basalt Boosters radiate from the insert pack to the nose and tail for extra snap while preserving torsional flex

Quadralizer sidecut (Equalizer RAD + Quadratic) for high-speed carving and precise edge control in tight terrain

Royal Rubber Rails and ABS sidewalls for maximum dampening and impact protection

Sintered EG base with Gallium reinforcement and Electra finish for fast glide and strong wax retention

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Assassin is built for intermediate to advanced riders who want one board that handles powder days, park laps, and fast groomer runs without compromise. Its stiffer flex and directional twin shape reward an aggressive, confident riding style.

FAQ

What is Rock Out Camber and how does it perform in powder?
Rock Out Camber is Salomon's hybrid profile that stays flat between the bindings for stability, adds camber underfoot for edge response, and rockers up at the tip and tail. In powder, that rockered tip and tail help the nose stay up and float over deep snow, while the camber underfoot still gives you solid pop and drive when you hit a groomer.

Is the Salomon Assassin good for park riding as well as freeride?
Yes — the directional twin shape rides well switch for park laps and side hits, while the Bamboo Rods and Basalt Boosters load the core with extra pop for ollies and jumps. It still carries a directional bias and a stiffer flex, so it favors riders who want a freeride-capable board that can handle occasional park features rather than a dedicated park board.

How stiff is the Salomon Assassin snowboard's flex?
The Assassin has a stiff flex, rated 4 out of 5 on Salomon's scale, described as powerful and aggressive. That stiffness gives it strong edge hold and stability at speed, which is why it's best suited to intermediate-to-advanced riders with the strength and technique to drive a firmer-flexing board.
