Product details

The ZipFit Freeride ski boot liner is built for all-day comfort, whether you're working through the bumps at Big White or carving long laps on Silver Star's groomed cruisers. Its self-molding cork shapes to your foot with body heat and doesn't pack out, so the fit stays locked in season after season. A neoprene toe box insulated with Thinsulate and merino wool keeps your toes warm through cold Okanagan mornings, from December through April.

KEY FEATURES

Pre-packed with ZipFit's highest fill of OMFit self-molding cork composite, which conforms to your foot and won't compress or pack out

Three adjustable cork pouches (top of the tongue and either side of the instep) so cork can be added to fine-tune fit or take up volume

Fluted cuff that accommodates larger, lower-set calves, reduces calf pressure and allows more front-to-back flex for skiing switch

Asymmetrical tongue with extra padding along the tibia and an instep window to relieve pressure over the top of the foot

Triple-insulated neoprene toe box with Thinsulate and merino wool for a warm, sock-like fit with room to wiggle your toes

Speed cinch laces and a removable power strap to lock the heel and midfoot in place and tune shin contact

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Freeride is for all-mountain skiers who want a more comfortable, forgiving fit than their stock liner gives them. It's especially good if you have a higher-volume boot shell, lower-volume feet, larger or lower-set calves, or a liner that has packed out. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right boot and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.Are ZipFit liners worth the money?
For skiers who struggle with comfort, cold feet or a packed-out stock liner, they often are. Foam liners compress over time and gradually lose their fit. ZipFit's OMFit cork keeps moving and molding instead of packing out, so the fit holds up for many seasons; ZipFit cites a pair of neoprene liners that has lasted 1,500 ski days. Because cork can be added to the liner's pouches, the fit can also be adjusted over time. The upfront cost is higher than a stock liner, but they typically outlast several pairs of foam liners.

Q.How long does it take to break in ZipFit liners?
ZipFits don't need a heat-molding session like foam liners. The cork composite softens with your body heat and gradually shapes to your foot as you ski. Expect them to feel firm at first and to settle in over your first few days on snow. Many skiers say the fit keeps improving after that. If anything feels off after break-in, cork can be added to the pouches to take up extra space.

Q.What's the difference between ZipFit neoprene and leather liners?
It mostly comes down to preference. Neoprene liners like the Freeride have more natural cushioning, a more forgiving feel and easier step-in, which suits all-mountain comfort. Leather-lined ZipFits imprint to your ankles and shin for a more exact, locked-in fit, but they need to be laced up and stepped into the shell before each use. For ease of use and all-day comfort, neoprene has the edge; for maximum precision, leather has a slight advantage.
