Product details

Fast group rides and flat, windy stretches along Okanagan Lake reward riders who find every bit of free speed. The Speedplay Aero is Wahoo’s aerodynamically engineered road pedal, built to cut drag and help you ride faster with less effort, whether you’re chasing a podium or just want to finish strong. Paired with the included Standard Tension Cleats, the pedal and cleat form a seamless, aerodynamic profile. A stainless steel spindle and sealed bearings deliver durability with minimal maintenance. Like every Speedplay pedal, the Aero offers dual-sided entry, an 11.5 mm stack height (3-hole), and 3-axis cleat adjustability, including micro-adjustable float from 0° to 15° so your heel can pivot freely for comfort and efficiency.

FAQ

Q1: How do I find the right size Speedplay Aero?
This version has a 53 mm Q-factor, the standard Speedplay spindle length, and there’s no rider weight limit. If you ride with a wide stance or your heels rub the crank arms, talk to our staff about whether a different spindle length would suit you better.

Q2: Is the Speedplay Aero compatible with my shoes and cleats?
The Aero fits standard 3-hole road shoes, and a 4-hole adaptor plate is available separately. It comes with Standard Tension Cleats and is also compatible with Speedplay Easy Tension Cleats, sold separately, for a lighter release. Speedplay pedals are designed for road cycling only. Wahoo recommends keeping your cleats clean before and during every ride, since off-road riding can damage the cleats or lodge debris inside them.

Q3: What’s the difference between the Speedplay Aero and the Speedplay Zero?
Both use a stainless steel spindle and Grivory body, include Standard Tension Cleats and have no rider weight limit. The Aero adds an aerodynamic profile designed to reduce drag at the pedal. It weighs 224 g per pair and has 37° of cornering clearance. The Zero has a more traditional shape at 222 g per pair with 39° of cornering clearance
