Okanagan Mountain Park and the Hydraulink trail network demand a bike that can haul up the climbs and fully commit on the way back down — and the Trek Rail+ 5 Gen 5 is built for exactly that. Powered by the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor with 85 Nm of torque and backed by an 800 Wh Removable Integrated Battery, this alloy full-suspension enduro e-MTB delivers 160 mm of travel front and rear, a mullet wheel setup (29" front, 27.5" rear on MD–XL), and a component package that punches well above its price point. Whether you're lapping Knox Mountain or threading ridge lines in Okanagan Mountain Park, the Rail+ 5 Gen 5 gives you the confidence to push deeper and ride longer.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Rail+ 5 Gen 5 is built for riders who are ready to commit to full-power e-MTB riding but don't want to pay carbon prices to do it. It suits intermediate to advanced mountain bikers who want genuine enduro capability — 160 mm of travel, a progressive mullet setup, and the latest Bosch CX motor — with a durable alloy frame that can take a beating across the roughest terrain Okanagan Mountain Park or the Black Knight trails have to offer. The Shimano Deore drivetrain and TranzX dropper give you a solid platform to ride hard now and upgrade later as your riding evolves.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

HOW TO SET UP

As a certified Trek dealer, our team can walk you through the Bosch eBike Flow app setup on your phone, pair your Smart System controller, and personalise your motor assist modes — including unlocking the 100 Nm / 750 W Extended Boost setting if you want maximum output. We'll set suspension sag on both the RockShox Psylo Gold RC fork and Deluxe Select+ RT shock to match your weight and riding style, and dial in the leverage rate flip-chip to suit your preferred trail feel. If you want to explore the Mino Link geometry or add optional angle-adjust headset cups to sharpen or slacken the steering, we can walk you through those adjustments as well. We also offer ongoing e-bike servicing, Bosch firmware updates (handled over-the-air via the Flow app), and year-round expert support for your Rail+.

FAQ

Q1: What size Trek Rail+ 5 Gen 5 do I need?
The Rail+ 5 Gen 5 is available in S, M, L, and XL. Trek's sizing is generally based on rider height, with Small suiting shorter riders and XL accommodating taller builds — however, there is a notable 40 mm reach gap between Medium and Large, so riders in between those sizes may want to pay particular attention to reach and stack numbers rather than height alone. The best way to confirm your fit is to come in and see us in person. You can also reference Trek's geometry chart at the link in the Geometry & Sizing section above, and our staff will cross-reference that with your height, inseam, and riding position preferences.

Q2: Is the Trek Rail+ 5 Gen 5 right for riding Okanagan Mountain Park and the Hydraulink trails?
Yes — the Rail+ 5 Gen 5 is well-suited to the enduro-style terrain found at Okanagan Mountain Park, Knox Mountain, and the Hydraulink trail network. Its 160 mm of front and rear travel, progressive mullet wheel setup, and Bosch Performance Line CX motor mean it handles technical descents with confidence while making the climbs far more accessible. If you're regularly hitting rowdy Kelowna trails and want a bike that earns its way back to the top, this is a strong fit.

Q3: How far can I ride on a single charge, and what factors affect range?
Range on the Rail+ 5 Gen 5 varies significantly based on assist mode, trail gradient, rider weight, and temperature — the Bosch eBike Flow app includes a real-time range calculator to help you plan rides. Trek does not publish a fixed km figure for the 800 Wh battery, and actual trail range will differ from flat-road estimates. If you need even more range, the Rail+ 5 Gen 5 is compatible with the optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh range extender. Our team can talk through typical range expectations for Kelowna trail conditions when you come in.
