Product details

On the long climbs at Sovereign Lake and the rolling loops at Silver Star, every pole plant counts, and a well-fitted strap is what turns arm effort into forward motion. The Swix Performance Strap for Wedge Handle pairs a strong nylon outer with a soft 3D-mesh interior, so it transfers power efficiently without chafing over a long session. It’s designed to work with Swix wedge handles. It comes in five sizes, so you can match it to your hand for a secure, comfortable fit.

FAQ

Q1: How do I find the right size Swix Performance Strap?
Wrap a measuring tape around your dominant hand just below the knuckles, over your thumb, and match the measurement to Swix’s size guide:

S: 16.5–19 cm
M: 19–21.5 cm
L: 21.5–24 cm
XL: 24–26.5 cm
XXL: 26.5–29 cm

If you’re between sizes or usually ski in bulky mitts, come in and try it on in-store.

Q2: Is the Performance Strap compatible with my poles?
It’s designed for Swix wedge handles. If your poles use a different handle or strap system, it won’t be a direct fit. Bring your poles to either location and our staff will confirm compatibility before you buy.

Q3: Why does pole strap fit matter for cross-country skiing?
A strap that fits snugly lets you push through the strap rather than gripping the handle tightly. That transfers more power with each pole plant and reduces hand and forearm fatigue. A strap that’s too loose wastes energy, and one that’s too tight can restrict circulation and become uncomfortable on longer outings.
