Q.What's the difference between the Stormrider 88 and the wider Stormrider 95?
The Stormrider 88 is the narrowest ski in Stöckli's Stormrider line, which makes it quicker edge-to-edge and more precise on groomed runs than the 95. The 95 trades some of that on-piste snap for extra width and float in deeper snow, so the 88 is the better pick if you spend most of your days carving rather than chasing powder.

Q.Is the Stormrider 88 stiff enough for aggressive skiers?
Yes. It uses a two-sheet Titanal metal layup over a poplar, beech, and paulownia wood core, giving it strong torsional stiffness and edge grip at speed. It responds best to a confident, assertive stance, which is why it's generally recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers rather than beginners.
