Product details

The Stöckli Montero AR Pro is a premium all-mountain carving ski built for strong skiers who want race-level power on Silver Star's groomed cruisers without giving up the versatility to handle whatever Big White throws at them on a mixed-conditions day. It takes the proven Montero AR platform and adds Racing Sidewalls and a World Cup Race Base for a stiffer, more demanding ride, while a Titanal Pro topsheet and All Mountain Rocker keep it composed at speed on long vertical runs. This is a ski for skiers who want to bring it up to speed and keep it there, turn after turn.

KEY FEATURES

All Mountain Rocker (50mm of tip rocker extending 250mm into the shovel) for easier turn initiation

Titanal Pro Technology — double Titanal layers with a scratch-resistant, direct-print topsheet finish

Racing Sidewalls Black — a harder phenolic sidewall for improved edgehold and power transmission

World Cup Race Base for maximum glide, the same base used on Stöckli's FIS race skis

Poplar and beech wood core for a light, energetic, race-ready feel underfoot

Flex Torsion Control notch at tip and tail for easier turn initiation and adaptability on uneven terrain

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Montero AR Pro is built for expert to advanced skiers, especially those with a racing background, who want maximum power and edge grip from a carving-focused all-mountain ski. It rewards skiers who like to ski fast and hold a hard edge at Silver Star, while still having enough range to handle variable snow at Big White.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right ski and size in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.What's the difference between the Montero AR and the Montero AR Pro?
The AR Pro shares the same 84mm, 128-84-114 sidecut geometry and turn radius range as the standard Montero AR, but adds firmer Racing Sidewalls, a thicker World Cup Race Base, and a Titanal tip with one fewer torsion slot for slightly more rigidity. The result is a stiffer, more race-like ride with more "snap" and precision for skiers who found the regular AR too soft.

Q.Is the Montero AR Pro too stiff for an intermediate skier?
It can be. This ski is built for expert to advanced skiers, particularly those with a racing background, who want maximum edge grip and power at speed. Intermediate skiers or those who prioritize a softer, more forgiving ride may be better suited to the standard Montero AR or the more playful Montero AX.

Q.What turn radius does the Montero AR Pro ski, and is it good for short turns?
The turn radius grows with length, from about 14.2m at 165cm up to 18.4m at 185cm, which puts it in the medium-to-large radius category best suited to sweeping, high-speed carved turns rather than tight short-radius turns. Skiers who want a shorter-radius carver should look at the Montero AX or Montero AS instead.
