From early-morning spins along the valley's quieter road routes to longer efforts toward Myra Canyon, the Specialized Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 puts the same race-proven chassis found further up the range within reach of more riders. It shares its FACT 10r carbon frame, Rider-First Engineered and Win Tunnel Engineered geometry, with the higher-tier Tarmac SL9 builds, but pairs it with a full Shimano 105 Di2 electronic groupset — making it the most accessible way onto the fastest Tarmac Specialized has built.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 suits the road rider who wants to step onto a genuine race-ready chassis — for group rides, gran fondos, or building toward local racing — without paying for top-tier electronic componentry right away. It's a bike riders can grow into: the frame and geometry match what's under Specialized's higher-end builds, so upgrading wheels or drivetrain later is straightforward rather than starting over.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

HOW TO SET UP

Before your Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 leaves the shop, our team will set your contact points — saddle height, reach, and cleat alignment — to match your position and flexibility. We'll dial in tyre pressure for the 30mm S-Works Turbo tyres based on your weight and the routes you're riding, and help you pair any computers or sensors with the Shimano Di2 system. We'll also confirm torque specs on the carbon seatpost and cockpit, and make sure the Di2 shifting is set up and indexed correctly. Drop into Fresh Air Pandosy (555 Groves Ave) or Fresh Air Dilworth (1656 Dilworth Drive), or book an appointment online.

FAQ

Q1: What size Specialized Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 do I need?
The Tarmac SL9 is available from size 44 through 61, built on Specialized's Rider-First Engineered geometry, which is tuned individually per size rather than scaled from one master frame. Full geometry details are on the Specialized website — our team at Fresh Air can help you find the right frame size based on your height, inseam, and riding style at either Kelowna location.

Q2: Is the Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 right for Okanagan road riding?
Yes — its race-bred aero chassis and 12-speed electronic shifting make it a strong fit for the valley's road routes and longer climbs, including the approach toward Myra Canyon, where a light, efficient frame pays off over distance.

Q3: What groupset is on the Tarmac SL9 Comp Di2 and is it upgradeable?
It comes with a full Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed electronic groupset (shifters, derailleurs, crankset, and brakes). Individual components can be upgraded down the line — including moving to a higher-tier Shimano or SRAM groupset or a lighter wheelset — and our service team can advise on compatibility.
