Product details

A typical day at Big White or Silver Star can shift from bluebird sun on the upper runs to flat light in the trees and fog rolling through the valley. The Scott Trace Pro Compact Light Sensitive Goggle is a smaller version of the Trace Pro LS, designed for narrower faces. Its chrome-coated Cinnamon Chrome photochromic lens automatically adapts to changing light conditions, darkening in sun and brightening when it’s overcast, and combines SCOTT Amplifier contrast-enhancing technology with an anti-fog coating and UV protection.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Trace Pro Compact LS is for skiers and snowboarders with narrower or smaller faces who want one lens that handles the full range of resort conditions without stopping to swap. Its smaller frame helps prevent gaps at the sides for a closer fit, making it a great choice for many women, teens and adults who find standard goggles too large. The photochromic lens is ideal for Okanagan days that move between sun, cloud and shade.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: How do I find the right size Scott Trace Pro Compact LS goggle?
The Trace Pro Compact LS has a small-to-medium fit, designed for narrower faces. If you have a medium-to-wide face, the standard Trace Pro LS offers the same lens in a larger frame. The goggle should sit snugly against your face with no gaps along the sides, and the foam should rest comfortably on your nose without pressure. Trying it on in-store with your helmet is the best way to confirm the fit.

Q2: Is the Trace Pro Compact LS compatible with my helmet?
Scott pairs the Trace Pro Compact LS with helmets like the Scott Element MIPS, and its silicone-lined strap helps it stay secure on most helmets. Fit can vary between brands, so bring your helmet into either location and our team can check that there’s no gap between the goggle frame and helmet brim.

Q3: What VLT% lens should I choose for Okanagan conditions?
VLT (visible light transmission) measures how much light a lens lets through. Lower VLT is better for bright sun, while higher VLT helps in flat light and snow. Okanagan resort days often change quickly between sun and cloud, so a photochromic lens like the AMP LS Cinnamon Chrome S1–3, which adjusts across categories 1 to 3, covers most conditions with one lens. It isn’t designed for night skiing.
