They're water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. Rapha explains that the Polartec® fabric itself is waterproof, but the seams are too close together to be fully taped. The gloves are also windproof and breathable, which makes them a strong choice for cold, damp fall rides. For sustained heavy rain, a dedicated waterproof glove is the better option.
