Q1: How do I find the right size Twin Tip Tail Hook?
There's only one size. The Twin Tip Tail Hook is universal and comes as a pair, one for each ski. What matters is that you're running Pomoca's Back Fix tail strap system and that your skis have a twin-tip or upturned tail. If you're unsure about your setup, bring your skis and skins in and we'll check.

Q2: Is the Twin Tip Tail Hook compatible with my climbing skins?
It's designed for Pomoca's Back Fix tail straps. You remove the standard Back Fix hook and slide the strap into the Twin Tip Tail Hook. It isn't designed for other brands' tail attachment systems. If your skins use a different tail system, ask our staff whether converting to a Pomoca Back Fix tail strap makes sense for your setup.

Q3: Do I need to notch my twin-tip skis to use climbing skins?
No. Many tourers on twin-tips have traditionally filed or ground a notch into the tail so a standard skin clip has something to hook onto. The Twin Tip Tail Hook is designed to clip securely over an upturned tail without any changes to your skis, so you avoid cutting into the ski.
