Families looking to graduate their young rider from the driveway to real singletrack — think Mission Creek Greenway or the smoother stretches around Knox Mountain — will find a genuine trail bike in the Fluid FS Youth. Norco builds this full-suspension platform in three wheel sizes, 20", 24", and 27.5", so it can grow with a young rider without handing them a scaled-down toy.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Fluid FS Youth is built for a young rider who's already comfortable on two wheels and ready for real singletrack — not just a paved path — whether that's a first lap on Mission Creek Greenway or working up toward the family-friendly sections of Knox Mountain. The three wheel sizes mean a family can keep a kid on genuine full-suspension geometry and youth-tuned suspension as they grow, rather than jumping straight to an adult bike that doesn't fit. Riders in this range will appreciate the low standover, properly soft-tuned suspension that actually moves under their weight, and a dropper post that lets them get the saddle out of the way on descents.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

GEOMETRY & SIZING

Frame geometry and sizing details for the Norco Fluid FS Youth are available on the Norco website. Norco offers the Fluid FS Youth in 20", 24", and 27.5" wheel sizes, each tuned to a specific age and height range. Our team at Fresh Air can help you find the right size based on your child's height, inseam, and riding confidence — come in to either Kelowna location and we'll get them dialled in.

HOW TO SET UP

Our team will set saddle height and confirm standover clearance for your child's current height, then adjust the brake lever reach so smaller hands can comfortably reach and modulate both brakes. We'll also check the youth-tuned suspension sag so the fork and shock actually move under a lighter rider's weight, rather than sitting stiff like an adult setup. A quick helmet fit check is part of every kids' bike fitting, and we're happy to talk through sizing up as your child grows.

FAQ

What size Norco Fluid FS Youth do I need?
Norco builds the Fluid FS Youth around three wheel sizes: 20" for riders roughly 7–10 years old (112–130cm, under 90 lb), 24" for riders roughly 9–12 years old (124–142cm, under 90 lb), and 27.5" for taller youth moving up from the 24" [VERIFY for exact 27.5" age/height range]. Check the geometry chart linked above, or come in to either Fresh Air location and our team will size your child up in person.

Is the Fluid FS Youth right for riding Mission Creek Greenway or Knox Mountain?
Yes — this is a genuine full-suspension trail bike, so it's well suited to the smoother family-friendly sections of Mission Creek Greenway and the easier climbs and descents around Knox Mountain, while still having enough capability for kids ready to push into more technical singletrack as they progress.

How do I know when my child has outgrown their bike?
Watch for the saddle reaching maximum height with the seatpost still showing enough insertion depth, knees coming close to the handlebar on climbs, or your child feeling cramped standing over the top tube. Since the Fluid FS Youth comes in three wheel sizes, most families can move up within the same trusted platform rather than switching brands entirely — our team can check fit at any time.
