Not every ride needs to be an epic — sometimes it's an easy afternoon lap on the Mission Creek Greenway, or a first proper session up Knox Mountain to see what your legs (and your bike) can handle. The Norco Fluid A3 is built for exactly that kind of progression: a full-suspension trail bike with 140mm up front and 130mm out back, wrapped in a durable aluminum frame and a dependable, value-driven build that lets you focus on riding instead of upgrading.

Weight: 16.9 kg / 37.2 lbs (size S3)

Standout feature: Flip chip in the rear linkage lets you switch between full 29" wheels and a mixed 29"/27.5" (MX) setup without changing the geometry or suspension kinematics

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Fluid A3 is a great entry point for riders new to full-suspension mountain biking who want a dependable, well-rounded bike for building skills on Kelowna's trail network — think easier laps on Knox Mountain or exploring further afield along the KVR and Mission Creek Greenway before tackling more technical terrain. It's an approachable choice for someone upgrading from a hardtail who wants the comfort and traction of rear suspension without a steep price jump.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

GEOMETRY & SIZING

Frame geometry and sizing details for the Norco Fluid A3 are available on the Norco website. Norco offers the Fluid A3 in five sizes, S1 through S5, fitting riders from approximately 5'0" to 6'6". Our team at Fresh Air can help you find the right frame size based on your height, inseam, and riding style — come in to either Kelowna location and we'll get you dialled in.

HOW TO SET UP

Before you ride away, our team will set sag and rebound on the RockShox Recon RL fork and DVO Opal rear shock to suit your weight and riding style, so the suspension feels supportive rather than harsh or wallowy. We'll also check dropper post routing and lever placement for a natural feel, and can set your tyres up tubeless if you're looking to run lower pressures for extra grip on loose or rocky trails.

FAQ

Q1: What size Norco Fluid A3 do I need?
The Fluid A3 is available in five sizes (S1–S5), fitting riders from roughly 5'0" to 6'6". Norco's Ride Aligned™ system tailors geometry to each frame size for balanced handling. For the most accurate fit, check the Norco geometry chart linked above, or stop by either Fresh Air location and our team will help you find the right size.

Q2: Is the Norco Fluid A3 right for Knox Mountain and Okanagan Mountain Park trails?
Yes — with 140mm of front travel and 130mm out back, the Fluid A3 handles the climbs and moderate technical descents you'll find on Knox Mountain and around Okanagan Mountain Park comfortably. It's a great option if you're building up to more advanced terrain.

Q3: What's the difference between a hardtail and a full suspension mountain bike?
A hardtail has suspension only in the front fork, while a full suspension bike like the Fluid A3 also has a rear shock, giving you more traction and comfort over rough terrain. Full suspension bikes tend to be more forgiving on technical trails, while hardtails are simpler and often lighter for smoother routes.
