Product details

If you lock your e-bike downtown in Kelowna, leave your bike at a trailhead or stop along the Okanagan Rail Trail, you want security you don't have to think twice about. The Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit Chain 1410 offers the same maximum-security build as Kryptonite's heaviest chain in a more manageable 100 cm length. It uses 14 mm six-sided links made of 3T hardened manganese steel, paired with a New York Disc Lock that has a 15 mm max-performance steel shackle. Hardened double deadbolt locking and a patented oval hardened steel crossbar add holding power. The high-security disc-style cylinder has reinforced anti-drill and anti-pull protection, and a sliding dust cover helps extend its life. A durable nylon sleeve with hook-and-loop fasteners protects your bike's finish.

WHOI S THIS FOR?

The Fahgettaboudit Chain 1410 is for riders who want maximum security in a length that's practical for everyday lock-up. It suits commuters in high-theft areas and owners of valuable bikes and e-bikes. It's also a good fit for anyone who wants top-tier protection without the extra length and weight of a 150 cm chain. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: How do I choose the right length chain lock?
A 150 cm chain is long enough to secure multiple bikes together, wrap around large posts or anchors, and lock a frame and both wheels in many setups. If you need a lock you'll carry on the bike, a shorter, lighter chain will be easier to transport. One example is the Kryptonite New York Chain 1210 at 100 cm and 3.92 kg.

Q2: Is the Fahgettaboudit Chain suitable for e-bikes and home storage?
Yes. With 14 mm hardened manganese steel links and a 15 mm shackle, it's one of the most robust bike locks Kryptonite makes. That makes it well suited to securing high-value bikes and e-bikes, or anchoring several bikes in a garage, shed or truck bed. For street lock-up, loop the chain through your frame and wheels. Lock to a solid, fixed object in a well-lit, high-traffic area.
