Q1: How do I find the right size Hestra Fall Line 3 Finger?
The Fall Line 3 Finger comes in Hestra sizes. Hestra sizes are based on hand circumference: measure around your hand just below the knuckles, excluding your thumb, then check Hestra's size guide. The glove should leave a little room at the fingertips without excess material, because a glove that's too tight restricts circulation and feels colder. Our staff can help you try sizes in-store.

Q2: Does the Fall Line 3 Finger go under my jacket cuff, and is it waterproof?
It goes under. The short neoprene cuff with Velcro® closure fits smoothly inside your jacket sleeve, so your jacket's cuff seals over the top. The glove doesn't have a waterproof membrane. Its treated cowhide shell resists moisture, and the G-Loft insulation keeps insulating even when damp, but it isn't designed for sustained wet conditions. Treating the leather regularly with the included Leather Balm helps maintain its water resistance.

Q3: Should I choose the 3-finger, 5-finger or mitt version of the Fall Line?
It depends on whether you need more warmth or more dexterity. Hestra rates the 5-finger at 5/8 for warmth and 6/8 for mobility, the 3-finger at 6/8 for warmth and 4/8 for mobility, and the mitt at 7/8 for warmth and 3/8 for mobility. The 3-finger is the middle option: warmer than a glove, with a free index finger for poles, zips and buckles.
