Q: Are these shoes true to size?
A: Yes — most runners find the Ghost 18 fits true to size in both length and width, consistent with other Brooks models. A few runners find it slightly snug, so if you’re between sizes, try both. It’s also available in narrow (2A), wide (D) and extra wide (2E) widths. Our staff can do an in-store fit assessment to confirm your size and width.

Q: Are the Ghost 18 waterproof / suitable for wet Okanagan trails?
A: No. The Ghost 18 has a breathable air mesh upper with no waterproof membrane, so feet will get wet in spring slush, puddles or creek crossings. The RoadTack rubber outsole grips well on wet pavement, so a rainy road run is no problem. For muddy singletrack, ask our staff about a dedicated trail shoe like the Brooks Cascadia.

Q: Can I try the Ghost 18 on before buying at Fresh Air Kelowna?
A: Yes — come into either Kelowna location and our staff will assess your gait and fit, and help you choose between sizes or similar models. No appointment needed, though calling ahead during peak season (spring and fall) is a good idea.
