Product details

The men’s Brooks Cascadia 20 is a durable, protective trail running shoe for runners and hikers who want one pair that can handle almost anything. For its 20th version, Brooks added a Vibram Megagrip outsole for the first time, switched to a livelier nitrogen-infused DNA FLASH v2 midsole, and raised the stack by 4 mm while keeping the weight down. The TrailAdapt system gives a wide, stable base with flex where you need it, so the ride stays planted over rocks and roots. Whether you’re climbing the switchbacks on Knox Mountain or putting in long miles in Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park, the Cascadia 20 keeps you sure-footed and protected. Available now at both Fresh Air Kelowna locations.

KEY FEATURES

Air-mesh upper with 3D overlays: soft and breathable, with reinforcements in high-wear zones for durability on rocky trails.

DNA FLASH v2 midsole: nitrogen-infused foam that’s lighter and more responsive than past Cascadias, with a 38 mm heel stack for long-day protection.

Vibram Megagrip outsole with 4 mm Traction Lugs: confident grip on wet or dry rock, dirt, and gravel.

No waterproof membrane: a breathable trail shoe. For wet or snowy conditions, see the Cascadia 20 GTX.

TrailAdapt Technology and lace-up fit: a wide base for stability, flexibility where it counts, and a snug, secure lockdown.

6 mm heel-to-toe drop: a moderate drop that feels natural for most runners and hikers.

275 g per shoe (Brooks spec, women’s): lighter than the previous version despite the taller stack.

Low-cut collar: freedom of movement for running, with enough structure for hiking.

Removable insole: swap in your own orthotic or one of our in-store insoles.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Best for: women of all experience levels who want a protective, stable trail shoe for everything from daily trail runs to long hikes, whether that’s Knox Mountain, Myra Canyon, or the trails up Okanagan Mountain.

FAQ

Q: Are these shoes true to size?
A: The Cascadia 20 fits fairly true to length, but the fit is snugger and narrower than the Cascadia 19, especially in the toe box. If you have a wider foot or plan to wear thicker hiking socks, consider the Wide (D) width or a half size up. Our staff can do an in-store fit assessment to find your best match.

Q: Is the Cascadia 20 waterproof or suitable for wet Okanagan trails?
A: The standard Cascadia 20 is not waterproof. Its breathable mesh upper dries quickly, and the Vibram Megagrip outsole grips well on wet rock. For spring mud, creek crossings, or snowy shoulder-season runs, the Cascadia 20 GTX adds a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane. Note that the closely spaced lugs can collect mud in deep, sticky conditions.

Q: Can I try the Cascadia 20 on before buying at Fresh Air Kelowna?
A: Yes — come into either Kelowna location and our staff will assess your gait and fit, and help you choose between sizes or similar models. No appointment needed, though calling ahead during peak season (spring and fall) is a good idea.
