Product details

From the Okanagan Rail Trail to the Mission Creek Greenway, plenty of Kelowna riding mixes pavement, packed gravel and easy dirt in a single outing. The Bontrager Connection Comp is a dependable, versatile replacement tire built for exactly that. Its smaller, more compact centre knobs reduce rolling resistance for a fast-rolling feel, while larger, more aggressive side knobs give you traction on loose terrain and confidence in corners. It's a solid choice for refreshing worn-out tires on a hardtail, commuter or kids' bike

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Connection Comp is for riders who spend most of their time on mixed surfaces rather than technical singletrack. It suits commuters, rail-trail and greenway riders, families replacing tires on kids' 20" and 24" bikes, and hardtail owners who want an affordable, durable tire that rolls well on pavement but still grips on gravel and dirt. Riders heading into steep, rocky or technical terrain will be better served by a more aggressive trail tire.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

SPECS

Q1: How do I find the right size Bontrager Connection Comp tire?
Check the sidewall of your current tire for the size, shown as diameter x width (for example 29 x 2.0) and often with an ETRTO number. The Connection Comp comes in 20, 24, 26, 27.5 and 29 x 2.0" sizes. If you're not sure, bring your wheel or bike into either location and our staff will confirm the match.

Q2: Is the Connection Comp tubeless compatible?
The Connection Comp is listed as a wire-bead clincher with a 30 TPI casing. It's designed to run with an inner tube and isn't marketed as tubeless ready. If you want extra flat protection, a Hard-Case version adds puncture protection for durability. Ask our staff which option suits your riding.

Q3: Is the Connection Comp a good tire for the Okanagan Rail Trail and city riding?
Yes, that's what it's designed for. Bontrager built it for trail, path and street riding, with a smooth-rolling centre tread that balances traction and efficiency. It rolls easily on pavement and packed gravel, and its side knobs add grip when the surface gets loose. For technical singletrack on Knox Mountain or Gillard, a more aggressive trail tire is a better fit.
