A tribute to a true trailblazer. An entirely reimagined, ultralight version of an iconic favorite.
The Magic J has been reborn. Tanner's ultimate powder ski has received the ultralight treatment, featuring a Caruba Core and edgeless tips and tails that shed significant weight, resulting in a more agile and playful ride. The flex pattern and 124mm waist provide maximum float and pop, encouraging you to explore buttering, slashing, and sending it in all possible ways, just as Tanner would. The iconic Scarface graphic pays homage to the T-Hall Signature Model from 2006/07, offering a vintage nod and yet another aspect of this contemporary classic brought back to life.
ROCKER PROFILE |
EST Freeride Rocker – Fore body rocker and extra tip taper combine for optimized float in the soft stuff. Positive camber under foot with no tail rocker ensures edge hold so skis stay on rails when carving is the priority. |
TIPS |
Edgeless Tip - No metal edge in the tip of the ski reduces swing weight and gives a unique feel when buttering and pressing. |
CORE |
Caruba Core – Our lightest wood core material creates the best uphill feel while retaining the power and damping characteristics required for descending the gnarliest terrain. This core makes no performance concessions in its quest to be ultra-light. |
LAMINATE |
Laminate Matrix – A directional layering of fiberglass that dictates the flex pattern and torsional rigidity of the ski, creating a lively and forgiving feel with quick response. |
BASE |
Comp Series Base – Sintered UHMW polyethylene with added carbon creates our fastest base without sacrificing durability. |
EDGES |
1.7 Lightweight Edge – Light and strong, this heat-treated edge minimally affects the feel of the ski to ensure a snappy, lightweight feel. |
SIDEWALLS |
AR50 Sidewalls - Sidewall on 50% of the ski based underfoot to provide durability where it is needed while keeping it light when reduced swingweight is a necessity. |
BINDING COMPATIBILITY |
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. |
