Product details

Cold chairlift rides at Big White and frosty mornings in the Silver Star village call for a toque you'll reach for every day of the season. The Arc'teryx Bird Head Toque is Arc'teryx's classic logo toque, knit from a 50/50 blend of merino wool and recycled polyester for natural warmth and comfort. A brushed polyester band adds softness against your forehead. At 57 g it packs down easily, so you can keep it in a jacket pocket or pack for warmth anywhere.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Bird Head Toque is for skiers, snowboarders and backcountry tourers who want a warm, breathable toque for the whole winter. It suits lift lines and après at Big White and Silver Star, chilly skin tracks, and everyday wear around Kelowna. Ten colourways make it an easy gift, too.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: How do I find the right size Arc'teryx Bird Head Toque?
The Bird Head Toque comes in one size, and the knit has some natural stretch. Arc'teryx's hat sizing chart lists the head circumference it fits. Try it on in-store at either Kelowna location to check the fit and length.

Q2: Is the Bird Head Toque suitable for skiing at Big White and Silver Star?
Yes. Arc'teryx rates it for resort, freeride, touring and alpine use. The merino blend breathes well on skin tracks and stays warm in lift lines and at après. Most helmet manufacturers advise against wearing a toque under a ski helmet because it can affect how the helmet fits. On the hill, a helmet liner or a properly fitted helmet is the safer choice.

Q3: How do I wash a merino wool toque?
Arc'teryx recommends hand washing cold or machine washing on low, using a wool detergent. Dry it flat and do not wring it. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, ironing and dry cleaning, and wash dark colours separately.
