WHO IS THIS FOR

This bike suits an intermediate to advanced trail rider who wants one bike that can handle everything from all-day pedal missions to rowdier descents — someone lapping Knox Mountain, exploring Hydraulink, or pushing into Okanagan Mountain Park. They'll appreciate the adaptability built into the frame, letting them dial in travel and geometry as their riding progresses, along with the confidence of SRAM's DB8 brakes on steep, technical terrain.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

GEOMETRY & SIZING

Frame geometry and sizing details for the Trek Fuel EX 8 Gen 7 are available on the Trek website. Trek offers the Fuel EX 8 Gen 7 in sizes S through XL. Our team at Fresh Air can help you find the right frame size based on your height, inseam, and riding style — come in to either Kelowna location and we'll get you dialled in.

HOW TO SET UP

As a certified Trek dealer, our team will set your sag and dial in rebound and compression on both the Fox fork and Float X shock to match your weight and riding style, whether that's smooth and efficient or aggressive and playful. We'll route and set up your Bontrager dropper post length for your frame size, and get your Bontrager wheels running tubeless before you hit the trail. We're also happy to walk you through the frame's interchangeable rocker link and lower shock mount if you ever want to reconfigure travel down the road.

FAQ

What size Trek Fuel EX 8 do I need?
The Fuel EX 8 Gen 7 comes in sizes S through XL. Check the geometry chart linked above for exact measurements, then stop into either Fresh Air location and our team will help confirm your fit in person.

Is the Trek Fuel EX 8 right for riding Knox Mountain or Hydraulink?
Yes — with 150mm of ABP-controlled travel, a Fox suspension package, and aggressive-rolling Bontrager tyres, the Fuel EX 8 is well suited to the climbs and descents you'll find at Knox Mountain, Hydraulink, and further into Okanagan Mountain Park.

How do I set up the suspension on the Fuel EX 8 for my weight and riding style?
Suspension setup starts with sag — typically 25–30% on both the Fox Rhythm fork and Float X shock — then fine-tuning rebound and compression to match your weight and how aggressively you ride. Our team can walk you through this setup in-store so your bike is dialled in before you hit the trail.
