Product details

When a storm rolls over Big White or SilverStar, little skiers need gear that keeps up from first chair to last. The North Face Freedom Insulated Bib pairs a waterproof, seam-sealed DryVent™ 2L shell with warm Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation, so kids stay dry and comfortable through deep Okanagan powder days, ski school laps, and afternoons on the sled hill. The full bib design blocks snow from sneaking in at the waist, and the Good to Grow system adds extra length so they can wear them another season.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Freedom Insulated Bib is made for young skiers and snow lovers in sizes 2T to 7, whether they're heading into ski school at Big White, cruising family runs at SilverStar, or building snow forts in the backyard. It's a great choice for parents who want one warm, waterproof bib that handles cold resort days and wet sledding sessions alike, and the extendable length means you'll get more than one season out of it. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right size and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk gear and activity with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: How does The North Face sizing run — true to size, or should I size up/down (and does it accommodate a base/mid-layer)?
The Freedom Insulated Bib has a regular fit, which leaves room for a base layer and a light fleece underneath. The Good to Grow system adds up to 2" of leg length, so many parents choose the size that fits now and let out the hems as their child grows. Check The North Face size chart, or bring your child in to either location and our staff will help you find the right size.

Q2: Is this bib warm and waterproof enough for ski school days at Big White and SilverStar?
Yes. The seam-sealed DryVent™ 2L shell keeps snow and moisture out, while 80 g Heatseeker™ insulation provides solid warmth for cold days on the mountain. The leg gaiters and full bib coverage also help keep snow out during falls and sledding. On the coldest Okanagan days, pair it with a warm base layer.

Q3: How do I care for the DryVent™ shell to maintain waterproofing and breathability?
Always follow the care label first. As a general guide for waterproof-breathable shells, wash in cold water with a technical cleaner made for outerwear, and skip fabric softener and bleach, which can clog the fabric and reduce breathability. When water stops beading on the surface, a DWR re-treatment product can help restore water repellency.
