Product details

On a cold storm day at Big White, the long chairlift rides are where you feel the chill the most, especially in your legs. The Peak Performance Whitelight HIPE® 2L Insulated Shell Pants are built to keep you warm through those rides and comfortable on every run that follows. Peak Performance designed them as a cutting-edge insulated resort ski pant, pairing a weatherproof stretch HIPE® shell with Pinneco Mantle™ insulation and Solarcore® technology. They're rated 10,000mm waterproof and 10,000g breathable, with a slim, flattering cut and zippered leg gussets. That makes them a warm, stylish choice for resort days at Big White and SilverStar all season long.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Whitelight Insulated Pants are for women who spend their winters skiing the resort and want warmth built right in. They're made for cold mornings on the lifts at Big White, windy afternoons at SilverStar, and long days when you'd rather not fuss with extra layers. The built-in synthetic insulation means a thin base layer is usually all you need underneath. The slim cut and zippered leg gussets give a tailored look that works over ski boots, and Cordura®-reinforced cuffs help protect against ski-edge scuffs. They pair naturally with the matching Whitelight APX Insulated Shell Jacket for a complete resort kit.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right size and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk gear and activity with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: How does Peak Performance sizing run — true to size, or should I size up/down (and does it accommodate a base/mid-layer)?
The Whitelight Insulated Pants have a slim fit with a mid waist, articulated legs, and adjustable Velcro straps at the waistband. Because they're insulated and cut slim, they're designed to be worn over a thin base layer rather than bulky mid-layers. We recommend trying them on in-store over the base layer you usually ski in so you can find the right size.

Q2: Are these pants warm and waterproof enough for resort skiing at Big White and SilverStar?
Yes. They're designed specifically for resort skiing. The 10,000mm waterproof HIPE® shell and fully sealed seams handle typical resort snowfall and wet chairlift seats well, and the snow gaiters help keep snow out of your boots. The Pinneco Mantle™ synthetic insulation, combined with Solarcore® technology, keeps your legs warm on cold chairlift rides and continues to insulate even if it gets damp.

Q3: How do I care for HIPE® fabric and synthetic insulation to maintain waterproofing and warmth?
Close all zippers and turn the pants inside out. Machine wash on a 40°C delicate cycle with similar colours, using a liquid or technical detergent, and rinse twice. Don't use fabric softener, bleach, ironing, dry cleaning, or professional wet cleaning. Remove the pants promptly after washing. Peak Performance recommends tumble drying on low to maintain the water-repellent treatment, or you can line dry in the shade.
