Product details

The Nitro Ika snowboard takes its name from the Māori word for fish, and it rides exactly like one should — fast, fluid, and perfectly at home in Big White's deep, low-angle powder. Co-developed with Christy Prior, its Tapered Swallowtail shape delivers effortless float and quick edge-to-edge response, while the Cam-Out Camber profile and mid-wide platform give it a surf-inspired feel that turns long powder runs into smooth, flowing lines. It's a playful yet stable board built to slow things down and find rhythm in every turn, whether you're deep in Big White's stashes or carving back across Silver Star's groomers.

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Ika is built for intermediate-to-advanced women riders who want a dedicated powder board with a playful, surfy feel for Big White's deep snow days, without giving up the ability to cruise Silver Star's groomers. Its stiff 7/10 flex and swallowtail shape favor confident riders over first-timers.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right ski/board and size in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.Why is the Nitro Ika named after a fish?
"Ika" is the Māori word for fish, reflecting the board's swallowtail fish shape and surf-inspired riding style, which was designed to feel fast and fluid specifically in deep, low-angle powder.

Q.Is the Nitro Ika good for riding groomers, or is it strictly a powder board?
It's built primarily as a powder board, and while its Progressive Sidecut and Cam-Out Camber let it handle groomed runs reasonably well, it's most at home in deep, low-angle snow rather than hard-charging carve laps.

Q.What is a mid-wide snowboard platform and who is it for?
A mid-wide platform gives a bit of extra width underfoot compared to a standard board, which helps with stability, float, and reduces boot drag — a good fit for riders who want extra confidence in powder without sizing all the way up to a true wide board.
