Product details

The Nitro Cannon snowboard is built for one thing above all else: floating through Big White's deepest Okanagan powder days. Its oversized, tapered swallowtail shape and Rocker/Camber/Rocker profile let the nose stay up in bottomless snow while the tail sinks and pivots effortlessly, and the board still holds an edge when you drop onto Silver Star's groomed cruisers on the way back to the lift. It's a directional freeride machine for riders who chase storm days and want a board that can handle everything from tree runs to wide-open bowls.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Cannon is built for advanced-to-expert freeriders who want a dedicated powder weapon for storm days at Big White, without giving up the ability to carve back down groomed runs at Silver Star. Its stiff flex and directional swallowtail shape reward riders who point it downhill and let it float.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right ski/board and size in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.What is a swallowtail snowboard and why does it help in powder?
A swallowtail has a notched, split tail design that lets the tail sink deeper into soft snow while the wide nose stays up, giving you a surfy, effortless float in deep powder without needing to lean back constantly to keep the tip up.

Q.What does the Nitro Cannon's Cam-Out (Rocker/Camber/Rocker) profile actually do on the hill?
It combines camber underfoot for solid edge hold and pop with rocker in the tip and tail for easier turn initiation and float, so the board still carves confidently on Silver Star's groomers even though it's built primarily for powder.

Q.Is the Nitro Cannon a good all-mountain board or strictly a powder board?
It's built as a directional freeride/powder board first, with enough sidecut and edge hold to handle groomed runs, but it isn't a dedicated park or all-mountain twin — it shines most on storm days and open, ungroomed terrain.
