Product details

The Line Optic 96 is built for skiers who like to move fast, and there's no better place to open it up than Silver Star's long groomed cruisers. A chevron of Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive titanal runs underfoot and extends into the tip and tail, keeping the ski connected to the snow at speed while still leaving enough float to handle a variable Big White day when the conditions turn soft or chopped up. If you want one ski that can carve hard on-piste and still shrug off mixed snow, this is built for exactly that.

KEY FEATURES

Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive™ titanal chevron extends from underfoot into the tip and tail for edge grip and high-speed stability

Rocker/Camber/Rocker profile pairs a cambered midsection for edge hold with rockered tip and tail for float and easy turn release

Capwall™ construction combines sidewall precision underfoot with lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail

5-Cut™ Multi-Radius Sidecut blends five turn radii for a wide variety of turn shapes

Aspen Veneer Core for a lightweight, snappy, engaged feel

Fatty™ Base (1.7mm) and Fatty™ Edge (2.5mm x 2.2mm) construction for added durability and tuning life

WHO IS THIS FOR

The Optic 96 is built for advanced-to-expert skiers who want a fast, precise all-mountain ski for hard-charging days at Silver Star and variable conditions at Big White. FAQ

Is the Line Optic 96 good for icy or variable snow conditions?
Yes. The Gas Pedal Metal Overdrive titanal underfoot gives it strong edge grip and damping on firm or icy groomers, while the Rocker/Camber/Rocker profile and 96mm waist add enough float and forgiveness to handle chopped-up or variable snow without feeling harsh underfoot.

How does the Optic 96 compare to the Line Blade or Pandora 99?
The Optic 96 is narrower and more metal-focused than the Blade or Pandora 99, built for precise, high-speed carving on groomers with just enough width for variable snow. The Blade is wider and shaped for deep-snow performance, while the Pandora 99 trades some of the Optic's edge-hold precision for a lighter, more forgiving, beginner-friendly all-mountain feel.

What length of Optic 96 should I get for my height and ability?
Longer lengths in the 177–184cm range suit taller or heavier riders and those who prioritize high-speed stability, while shorter lengths around 156–163cm work better for lighter or more nimble skiers. Our team can help you dial in the right length in-store based on your height, weight, and how you like to ski.
