Product details

The Lange Shadow 130 LV GW is a narrow, very stiff all-mountain ski boot built for expert skiers who want to drive hard on every kind of terrain, from Big White's deep Okanagan powder to Silver Star's fast groomed cruisers. Lange's Suspension Blade Dual Pivot design gives the Shadow a smooth, progressive flex that soaks up the chop on long vertical runs, while the Dual Core polyurethane shell keeps the heel and spine stiff for precise edge control. When conditions shift mid-day, as they often do through the Okanagan ski season, this boot stays powerful and predictable from first chair to last run.

KEY FEATURES

Suspension Blade Dual Pivot design for better snow feedback, better energy transfer, and more power with less effort

Rivet-free rear construction with a second Suspension Blade attachment above the heel for a more progressive flex and less harshness at the limits of forward and rearward loading

Dual Core Technology injects two plastic densities through five ports: harder plastic at the heel, spine and lower shell for stiffness, softer plastic where the boot wraps the foot and lower leg for comfort

Core Custom 1 liner with Auxetic Technology that expands and contracts in three dimensions to follow your foot's contours

Reactive Boost Tongue and premium footbed

GripWalk ISO 23223 soles for better traction walking through the village or the parking lot

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Shadow 130 LV GW is for advanced to expert skiers with narrow, low-volume feet who want maximum power and precision without the harsh, unforgiving feel of a traditional race-style boot. If you ski aggressively all over the mountain and want one stiff boot that handles both powder days and hardpack, this is it.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right boot and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.What is Lange's Suspension Blade and how does it change the way a boot flexes?
The Suspension Blade is a structural element on the back of the Shadow's shell that works with a dual pivot point to change how the boot flexes. Instead of the abrupt stiffening you can feel in a traditional overlap boot, the Shadow flexes more smoothly and progressively, and absorbs more vibration on the way through. The result is a boot that feels powerful when you load it hard but is less fatiguing over a full day.

Q.What's the difference between the Lange Shadow and the Lange RX?
Both are narrow-to-medium overlap boots built for strong skiers, and the Shadow LV keeps the same 97mm fit that the RX LV was known for. The difference is in the shell: the Shadow removes the rear rivets and adds the Suspension Blade dual pivot, giving it a more progressive, damp flex. The Shadow 130 is also a bit lighter than the RX 130. The RX feels more traditional; the Shadow feels smoother and more forgiving at the limit of its flex.

Q.Will GripWalk ski boots work with my current alpine bindings?
It depends on the binding. GripWalk (ISO 23223) soles have a rockered, rubberized sole that needs a GripWalk-compatible or multi-norm (MNC) binding to release properly. Many bindings made in the last several years are compatible, but older ISO 5355-only alpine bindings may not be. Bring your skis into the shop and our techs can check compatibility and adjust your bindings to the new boots.
