Product details

The Lange Shadow 120 MV GW is a stiff, medium-volume all-mountain ski boot that gives strong skiers real power without punishing their feet, whether you're carving Silver Star's groomed cruisers or chasing fresh Okanagan powder through the trees at Big White. Lange's Suspension Blade Dual Pivot design replaces the traditional pinned shell and cuff, so the boot flexes smoothly and progressively instead of hitting a hard stop. That smooth flex helps on long vertical runs where snow changes from soft to firm, all season long from December to April.

KEY FEATURES

Suspension Blade Dual Pivot design in place of a traditional pinned shell and cuff, for better snow feedback, better energy transfer, and more power with less effort

Dual Core Technology: two plastic densities injected through five ports, harder at the heel, spine and lower shell for stiffness and softer where the boot wraps the foot and lower leg for comfort

Core Custom 2 liner with Auxetic Technology that expands and contracts in three dimensions to follow your foot's natural shape

Reactive Boost Tongue for responsive, direct shin contact

Four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles and a 45mm Velcro power strap for a precise, secure closure

GripWalk ISO 23223 soles for easier walking in the village and on the stairs at the lodge

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Shadow 120 MV GW is built for advanced to expert skiers with average-width feet who want a powerful, precise boot that still feels smooth and comfortable through a full day. It's a great fit if you ski hard all over the mountain but don't need, or don't want, the extra stiffness of a 130. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right boot and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.Should I get a 120 or 130 flex ski boot?
A 120 flex suits most strong advanced and expert skiers. It gives you plenty of support for driving the ski while still letting you flex the boot easily in bumps, trees and softer snow. A 130 is better for heavier skiers or those who ski very aggressively at high speed and want maximum support. Keep in mind that boots get stiffer in cold temperatures, so a 120 can feel noticeably firmer on a cold January day at Big White than it does in the shop.

Q.What does "MV" mean on Lange ski boots?
MV stands for medium volume. The Shadow MV models are built on a 100mm last, which fits average-width feet. Lange also makes LV (low volume) versions on a narrower 97mm last for slimmer feet. The flex, technology and liner family are the same across both versions; the shell shape is what changes.

Q.What is Lange's Dual Core plastic and why does it matter?
Dual Core is Lange's method of injecting two different plastics into the shell at the same time. The harder plastic goes to the heel, spine and lower shell, where stiffness gives you power and precision. The softer plastic goes to the areas that wrap your foot and lower leg, which improves comfort and makes the boot easier to get on and off. You get stiffness where you need it and comfort everywhere else, without trading one for the other.
