Product details

The Lange Shadow 100 MV GW is a comfortable, medium-volume all-mountain ski boot built to help intermediate skiers progress, whether that's linking smooth turns down Silver Star's groomed cruisers or venturing onto new runs at Big White. Lange's Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade technology adds leverage to every move you make, so the boot does more of the work and you finish the day with energy left in your legs. Paired with a heat-moldable liner and a 100mm last, it's a boot you can ski comfortably from first chair to last all season long.

KEY FEATURES

Assisted Performance System pairs Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade technology; Lange says it boosts your input to the boot by up to 26% for more power and control with less effort

Suspension Blade connects the upper and lower boot to absorb shock and transfer power smoothly, for better snow feel and a cleaner, more consistent flex

Dual Core Technology uses two plastic densities, stiffer where you need power and softer where the boot wraps your foot and leg for comfort

One-piece thermoformable Core Custom liner with an asymmetrical toe box for a uniform, pressure-free fit from toe to cuff

100mm medium-volume last for all-day comfort on average-width feet

Pre-mounted GripWalk soles with rubber tread and a rockered toe for more natural walking and better traction

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Shadow 100 MV GW is for intermediate skiers with average-width feet who want a comfortable boot that still has the support to help them improve. It's a great choice if you're moving out of a softer entry-level boot and want more precision and control without a stiff, demanding feel. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right boot and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.Is a 100 flex ski boot good for an intermediate skier?
For most intermediate men, yes. A 100 flex gives you enough support to hold an edge and stay balanced at higher speeds, while still being easy enough to flex forward so you can get into a good athletic stance. Lighter skiers or newer intermediates may find a 90 easier to manage. Heavier or fast-progressing skiers may outgrow a 100 within a season or two and want a 110 or 120. Your weight, height and how often you ski all factor in.

Q.What is Lange's Assisted Performance System?
It's Lange's name for the combination of their Dual Pivot and Suspension Blade designs on the Shadow boots. The Dual Pivot creates a mechanical advantage, so the whole boot engages with less input from you. The Suspension Blade links the upper and lower boot to absorb vibration and transfer power smoothly. Lange says the system boosts your input by up to 26%. In practice, the boot feels more powerful and less tiring than a traditional boot of the same flex.

Q.Should I heat-mold my ski boot liners?
If your boot has a thermoformable liner like the Shadow 100, heat-molding is usually worth it. The liner is warmed and then molded to your foot while you stand in the boot. That shortens break-in time, fills gaps around the ankle and heel, and can relieve pressure points. Molding fine-tunes the liner but can't fix a shell that's the wrong size or shape, so getting the right shell fit comes first.
