Product details

The K2 Recon 120 Zonal BOA is a stiff, all-mountain performance ski boot for advanced to expert skiers driving hard turns through Silver Star's groomed cruisers and pushing into Big White's steeper, more demanding terrain. Its 120 flex and dual BOA H+1 closure give you independent control over the cuff and lower shell, so you can dial in exactly how tight and precise the fit feels as conditions change across the mountain. With adjustable forward lean and cuff alignment on top of that, it's built for skiers who want their boot tuned to their stance, not the other way around.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Recon 120 Zonal BOA is built for advanced to expert skiers who want a stiff, precise boot with more tunability than a standard closure system offers. Dual BOA dials plus adjustable forward lean and cuff alignment let you dial in exactly how the boot fits and flexes as your skiing evolves.

FAQ

Q. What's the benefit of a dual BOA (H+1) closure over a single BOA dial?
A single BOA dial tightens the whole lower shell as one zone, while a dual H+1 system gives you a separate dial for the cuff and another for the lower shell. That means you can loosen the cuff for comfort on the chairlift while keeping the lower shell locked down for precision, or fine-tune each zone independently as your foot and calf shape demand.

Q. How much difference does adjustable forward lean make on a ski boot?
Adjustable forward lean changes how far your shin is angled toward the front of the boot, which affects how naturally you can pressure the front of your skis. A more upright setting (around 10°) suits a more centered, all-mountain stance, while a steeper setting (up to 14°) favors an aggressive, forward-driving style — being able to adjust it means the boot can match your stance instead of forcing you to adapt to it.

Q. What's the difference between the K2 Recon 120 Zonal BOA and the K2 BFC 120 BOA?
Both are flex 120 boots for advanced to expert skiers, but the Recon Zonal adds a dual BOA H+1 system with independent cuff and lower-shell dials, plus adjustable forward lean and cuff alignment, for more precise, tunable fit. The BFC 120 BOA uses a single BOA dial with 2 traditional buckles and a fixed stance, prioritizing a simpler, more comfort-oriented closure.
