Product details

The K2 Mindbender 90 is a lively, lightweight all-mountain ski that handles everything the Okanagan season throws at you. Lay down easy carves on Silver Star's groomed cruisers in the morning, then duck into soft snow and tree runs at Big White when the snow stacks up. The 90mm waist is wide enough to stay afloat in fresh snow and narrow enough to switch edges quickly on firm groomers. Because it skips the metal laminate, it stays easy on your legs from first chair to last run.

KEY FEATURES

All-Terrain Rocker: mild camber underfoot with a pronounced tip rocker and mild tail rocker for easy turn entry and float

Aspen Micro Block core: many small aspen stringers create a consistent flex and a smooth, damp ride

Spectral Braid: variable-angle fibre reinforcement that tunes torsion and flex along the length of the ski, with a tighter weave in the shovel and underfoot and a looser weave in the tail

No metal laminate: lighter weight and less effort than Titanal-equipped Mindbender models

Bio Resin bonds the layers to the core and adds cold-temperature strength

M3 11 Compact Quikclik bindings included, paired with K2's integrated Quikclik system

WHO IS THIS FOR?

The Mindbender 90 is built for progressing and intermediate skiers, lighter skiers, and anyone who finds metal skis tiring after a full day on the hill. It suits moderate speeds and exploring the whole mountain, while hard-charging skiers who want more damping at speed may prefer a metal-laminate Mindbender.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right ski and size in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to talk with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q.What is the K2 Quikclik binding system?
Quikclik is K2's integrated binding system, designed to pair with the included bindings. The bindings sit on a track, so they can be adjusted to fit a wide range of boot sizes. The bindings come unmounted, and like any ski binding, they still need to be installed, adjusted to your boots, and set to your weight and ability by a trained technician before you ski on them. Our shop handles that in-store.

Q.Is the K2 Mindbender 90 good for intermediate skiers?
Yes. Intermediate skiers are exactly who this ski is built for. Its lightweight wood core and rocker in the tip make it easy to start turns and forgiving when you make a mistake. It also has enough width and edge grip to keep up as you improve and start exploring more of the mountain. Lighter or less aggressive skiers can also consider a shorter size.

Q.What's the difference between the K2 Mindbender 90 and the Mindbender 96?
The biggest difference is metal. The Mindbender 96 uses a Titanal (metal) layer, which makes it heavier, more stable at high speed, and better at smoothing out choppy snow. The Mindbender 90 skips the metal. That makes it lighter, livelier, and less tiring, but it is less stable when you ski very fast. If you're still building confidence or prefer a relaxed pace, the 90 is the easier ski to enjoy. Strong skiers who like to go fast usually prefer the 96.
