Product details
Some of the best skiing at Sovereign Lake and SilverStar happens on the coldest days, when the corduroy is firm, the air is still, and the thermometer hasn't budged past minus fifteen. The Daehlie Challenge Pants are made for exactly those mornings. They combine a breathable 3-layer softshell with padded insulation where you lose heat fastest, so you stay warm on the long glides and descents without overheating on the climbs.
| KEY FEATURES |
3-layer softshell with a PU membrane. It blocks wind and moisture from outside while moving sweat out from inside, so the pants dry quickly during hard efforts. 10,000mm water column and 10,000 MVP breathability, which handles snow, sleet and light rain. Thermore® Ecodown insulation, made entirely from recycled PET bottle fibres, in quilted panels across the exposed front of the thighs. Molded, articulated knees and strategically placed elastic panels for freedom of movement and added ventilation. Rudolf Bionic Finish® ECO, a PFC-free durable water-repellent treatment, helps light rain and sleet bead off without hurting breathability. Elastic waistband with internal drawstring and silicone grip, YKK® leg zippers, and reflective detailing. |
| WHO IS THIS FOR |
The Challenge Pants are for women who cross-country ski through the heart of winter and want real warmth without the bulk of a downhill pant. They suit classic and skate skiers who train at moderate intensity on cold days, and anyone who feels the chill in their thighs on long descents or windy, open sections of trail. The regular fit with a slim leg leaves room for a base layer underneath. The pants are designed as a set with the Daehlie Jacket Challenge 2.0 if you want a matching cold-weather outfit for the Nordic trails. Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right size and fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. FAQ |
Q1: How does Daehlie sizing run — true to size, or should I size up/down (and does it accommodate a base layer)? Q2: Are these pants warm and waterproof enough for cold Nordic days at Sovereign Lake or SilverStar? Q3: How do I care for the softshell and PU membrane to maintain waterproofing and breathability? |
