Product details

The Atomic Redster S9 Gen S Med race skate ski brings Atomic's World Cup Gen S technology to skiers in a lighter weight range, with a Med stiffness tuned so the ski flexes and grips properly under every push-off. On Silver Star Mountain Resort's groomed Nordic trails, the shorter Speedscale geometry keeps transitions quick on rolling terrain, while the wider tip and tail hold a stable line on fast, firm descents. Atomic's elite racers see the biggest gains on icy, hard-packed tracks, which makes this ski a natural fit for cold mornings on the Nordic trails at Silver Star and Big White through the Okanagan ski season.

FAQ

Q.Should I get the Med or Hard version of the Atomic Redster S9 Gen S?
It comes down to your body weight and ski length. Atomic recommends the Med for 50–65 kg skiers on the 173 cm and 65–80 kg skiers on the 183 cm; heavier skiers in each length move to the Hard. A ski that's too stiff won't grip well on push-off, and one that's too soft can feel slow, so if you're between ranges, our staff can help you choose.

Q.What is a Flat Racing Tip on a skate ski?
A Flat Racing Tip (FRT) is a shorter, flatter and lighter tip than a traditional upturned ski tip. Atomic designs it to improve swing balance, so the ski feels lighter as you bring it forward each stride, giving you a smoother, more fluid motion.

Q.What does a moveable skating binding like the Prolink Shift Race SK do?
Atomic describes the Prolink Shift Race SK as a moveable skating binding built for race performance, meaning the binding position on the ski can be adjusted rather than fixed in one spot. That lets racers fine-tune how the ski feels for different conditions. Stop in and our team can show you how it works on the ski.
