Product details

The Atomic Pro Skate Gen S skate ski is built to make learning and improving your skating technique easier, with stability, control and easy handling at the core of its design. The groomed Nordic trails at Silver Star Mountain Resort and Big White are ideal for building skate technique, and the wide Gen S tip and tail keep you balanced while the shorter lengths make the ski easy to steer. A Double Groove base adds tracking and control, so you spend less energy staying upright and more time refining your stride through the Okanagan ski season.

FAQ

Q.What is a good skate ski for beginners?
A good beginner skate ski is stable, easy to control and forgiving when your technique isn't perfect yet. The Atomic Pro Skate Gen S is designed for exactly that. Its wider tip and tail help with balance, and its shorter lengths make it easier to manoeuvre. Its double-grooved base also helps the ski track straight, so you can focus on learning the skating motion.

Q.Why are Gen S skate skis shorter?
Atomic's Gen S design uses a special ski geometry that keeps the ski stable at shorter lengths. A shorter ski is lighter to move and easier to steer, which gives you more control when you're learning, without giving up speed.

Q.What does a double groove base do on a skate ski?
Most skate skis have a single groove down the middle of the base. The Pro Skate Gen S has two, which Atomic says makes steering and control easier and the skating feel more effortless. For newer skiers, that extra tracking can make the ski feel more predictable underfoot.
