FAQ

What's the difference between the Hawx Magna XTD 120 and the Hawx Magna 130 S?
The XTD 120 is a hybrid freeride touring boot with a Free/Lock 4.5 walk mode and 54° range of motion for backcountry access, plus GripWalk, MNC, and pin binding compatibility. The Magna 130 S is a resort-focused alpine boot with a stiffer 130 flex and no walk mode, built purely for downhill performance.

Can the Hawx Magna XTD 120 be used with tech (pin) bindings?
Yes. The Hawx Magna XTD 120 has GripWalk soles compatible with MN, MNC, and pin binding systems, so it works with both traditional alpine/GripWalk bindings and tech touring bindings.

Is 120 flex too stiff for an intermediate skier?
A 120 flex is generally suited to advanced to expert skiers who want a stiff, responsive boot for driving wider or heavier skis. Intermediate skiers may find it demanding on a full resort day, though the wider 102mm last and heat-moldable liner can make the fit more forgiving than the flex number alone suggests.
