Q1: How does Arc'teryx sizing run? Should I size up or down, and will it fit over a base and mid-layer?
Arc'teryx updated the Sentinel this season with a modern, women-specific cut for better articulation and freedom of movement. If you've worn an older Sentinel, the fit may feel different, so we recommend trying it on in-store with the base layer and mid-layer you plan to ski in. That way you can check reach, coverage, and room underneath before you buy.

Q2: Is this jacket warm and waterproof enough for storm days at Big White and SilverStar?
For waterproofing, yes. The 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, and the powder skirt, hem cinch, and adjustable cuffs keep deep snow out. For warmth, keep in mind it's a shell, not an insulated jacket. The flannel backer adds comfort and a little warmth, but on cold lift-served days you'll want an insulated mid-layer underneath.

Q3: How do I care for GORE-TEX ePE to keep it waterproof and breathable?
For Arc'teryx GORE-TEX ePE shells, close all zippers and fastenings, then machine wash on medium. Wash it separately, without fabric softener or bleach, and double rinse. Tumble dry on medium and don't leave it sitting wet. The face fabric on ePE shells can wet out a little faster than on older membranes. This doesn't affect the waterproof membrane itself. A wash and tumble dry restores the DWR. Always check the care label on your jacket.
