Q1: How does Arc'teryx sizing run? Should I size up or down, and will it fit over a base layer?
The Sentinel Bib Pant has Arc'teryx's regular fit, cut comfortably through the waist, hip, and thigh for freedom of movement. This season's update adds more room through the leg. It comes in women's sizes 00 to 16 and three inseam lengths. In a size 4, the inseam is 30" (77cm) in Short, 32" (82cm) in Regular, and 35" (90cm) in Tall. Arc'teryx recommends checking its sizing chart to find your size. We also suggest trying it on in-store over your base layer, and bringing your ski boots if you can, so you can check the length and the fit through the bib.

Q2: Is this bib warm and waterproof enough for storm days at Big White and SilverStar?
For waterproofing, yes. The 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, and the bib design and PowderCuffs keep deep snow out. For warmth, keep in mind it's a shell bib, not an insulated one. The fleece backer adds comfort, and on cold lift-served days, a warmer base layer underneath will keep you comfortable.

Q3: How do I care for GORE-TEX ePE to keep it waterproof and breathable?
Close all zippers and fastenings, then machine wash on medium. Wash it separately, without fabric softener or bleach, and double rinse. Tumble dry on medium and remove it right away. Don't leave it sitting wet, and don't dry clean or iron it. Arc'teryx notes that the face fabric on ePE shells can wet out a little faster than on older membranes. This doesn't affect the waterproof membrane itself. A wash and tumble dry restores the DWR.
