Q1: How does Arc'teryx sizing run? Should I size up or down, and will it fit over a base layer?
The Kyanite Hoody has Arc'teryx's fitted cut. It's patterned to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, and hip, so it fits comfortably over a base layer and under a shell without bulk. This season's update makes the fit even more streamlined. The centre back length is 26" (65cm) in a size S, and the model shown is 5'9" and wears an S. It comes in XXS to XXL. We recommend trying it on in-store over a base layer and under your shell to check the fit for yourself.

Q2: Is this hoody warm and waterproof enough for ski touring and cold days at Big White and SilverStar?
It's a warm, breathable mid-layer, and Arc'teryx calls it the warmest Kyanite. It isn't waterproof or windproof, though. On its own, it's best for low-to-moderate-output days in dry conditions. For touring or storm days, wear it under a waterproof shell to block wind and snow while the fleece keeps you warm.

Q3: How do I care for Polartec Power Stretch Pro fleece to keep it soft and durable?
Machine wash on low and line dry. Wash dark colours separately. Don't use fabric softener or bleach, and don't dry clean or iron it.
