Q1: How does Arc'teryx sizing run? Should I size up or down, and will it fit over a base layer?
Arc'teryx updated the Sabre Pant to a true regular fit this season. It's cut comfortably through the waist, hip, and thigh, with more room in the thighs than before, and has an adjustable integrated belt to dial in the waist. It comes in XS to XXL in regular length, with a 33" (83cm) inseam in a size M. If you've worn an older Sabre Pant, the fit may feel different, so we recommend trying it on in-store over your base layer. Bring your ski boots if you can.

Q2: Is this pant warm and waterproof enough for storm days at Big White and SilverStar?
For waterproofing, yes. The 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, and the powder cuffs and jacket connectors help keep deep snow out. For warmth, keep in mind it's a shell pant, not an insulated one. The fleece backer adds comfort, and on cold lift-served days, a warmer base layer underneath will keep you comfortable.

Q3: How do I care for GORE-TEX ePE to keep it waterproof and breathable?
Close all zippers and fastenings, then machine wash on medium. Wash it separately, without fabric softener or bleach, and double rinse. Tumble dry on medium and remove it right away. Don't leave it sitting wet, and don't dry clean or iron it. Arc'teryx notes that the face fabric on ePE shells can wet out a little faster than on older membranes. This doesn't affect the waterproof membrane itself. A wash and tumble dry removes the oil contamination that causes it and restores the DWR.
