Q1: How does Arc'teryx sizing run? Should I size up or down, and will it fit over a base and mid-layer?
Arc'teryx describes the Sabre as a regular fit, with a cut that's been refined for a modern fit this season. It's comfortable through the chest, waist, and hip, and layers easily over a base layer and mid-layer. The centre back length is 31" (79cm) in a size M, and the model shown is 6'1" and wears an M. It comes in XS to XXL. We recommend trying it on in-store with the mid-layer you plan to wear underneath.

Q2: Is this jacket warm and waterproof enough for storm days at Big White and SilverStar?
For waterproofing, yes. The 3-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, and the powder skirt and adjustable cuffs keep deep snow out. For warmth, keep in mind it's an uninsulated shell. The fleece backer adds next-to-skin comfort, but on cold lift-served days you'll want an insulated mid-layer underneath.

Q3: How do I care for GORE-TEX ePE to keep it waterproof and breathable?
Close all zippers and fastenings, then machine wash on medium. Wash it separately, without fabric softener or bleach, and double rinse. Tumble dry on medium and don't leave it sitting wet. Don't dry clean or iron it. Arc'teryx notes that the face fabric on ePE shells can wet out a little faster than on older membranes. This doesn't affect the waterproof membrane itself. A wash and tumble dry removes the oil contamination that causes it and restores the DWR.
