2026 Trek Fuel LX 9.8 XT Gen 7 – Rowdy Carbon Trail Bike for Big Descents
Aggressive geometry, full suspension, and precision control for downhill shredding.
The 2026 Trek Fuel LX 9.8 XT is a high-performance carbon trail bike designed to dominate steep descents and technical terrain. Its OCLV Mountain Carbon frame combines lightweight stiffness with durability, while the Fox Factory 38 fork and DHX2 coil shock (170mm front, 160mm rear) deliver plush, responsive suspension for tackling the wildest lines.
A mechanical Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain provides crisp, reliable shifting, and 4-piston XT M8200 brakes deliver powerful modulation for precise stopping in any situation. Built for riders who push limits, the Fuel LX 9.8 XT excels in flow, control, and all-out downhill performance.

KEY FEATURES |
Adapt, rip, repeat - Only you can define your perfect trail bike — that's why Fuel is available in three adjustability-packed configurations. Get do-it-all capability with EX, go pop-happy with MX, or charge through it all with LX. Adjustable leverage rate - Want more bottom-out resistance without giving up small-bump sensitivity? Flip the chip in the lower shock mount for a more progressive leverage rate. Zero stack integrated headset - With a ZS standard headset, you've got tons of options for aftermarket upgrades, including angle adjust or anodized colors. Storage and accessory mounts - Stash ride essentials with in-frame storage on all Fuel models — both carbon and alloy. Plus, top tube accessory mounts let you load up even more. Fresh frame design - Fuel's new frame gives you tons of room for long dropper posts, bigger shocks, frame bags, and more. Active Braking Pivot - Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most. |
