2026 Trek Fuel EX 9.8 Eagle 90 Gen 7 – Carbon Confidence for Every Trail
Lightweight strength with SRAM’s latest drivetrain and powerful braking.
The 2026 Trek Fuel EX 9.8 Eagle 90 Gen 7 combines a lightweight OCLV Mountain Carbon frame with premium components for a trail bike that thrives on rough terrain and steep descents. Outfitted with a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork (150mm) and Deluxe Ultimate RC2T shock (145mm), this bike delivers plush suspension performance for confident handling on any line.
Its SRAM Eagle 90 drivetrain provides reliable, mechanical shifting that stays smooth even under heavy pedaling loads, giving you confidence to push harder on climbs and technical sections. When it’s time to descend, SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston brakes deliver immense stopping power and control, keeping you in command no matter how rowdy the ride gets. Lightweight, versatile, and aggressive, the Fuel EX 9.8 Eagle 90 is built to handle it all.

KEY FEATURES |
Adapt, rip, repeat - Only you can define your perfect trail bike — that's why Fuel is available in three adjustability-packed configurations. Get do-it-all capability with EX, go pop-happy with MX, or charge through it all with LX. Adjustable leverage rate - Want more bottom-out resistance without giving up small-bump sensitivity? Flip the chip in the lower shock mount for a more progressive leverage rate. Zero stack integrated headset - With a ZS standard headset, you've got tons of options for aftermarket upgrades, including angle adjust or anodized colors. Storage Accessory Mount - Stash ride essentials with in-frame storage on all Fuel models — both carbon and alloy. Plus, top tube accessory mounts let you load up even more. Fresh frame design - Fuel's new frame gives you tons of room for long dropper posts, bigger shocks, frame bags, and more. Active Braking Pivot - Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most. Transition to Transmission - SRAM Eagle T-Type transmission mounts directly to the frame, skipping that pesky derailleur hanger of yesteryear. This makes for a more robust system that's not only cleaner looking, it's also more precise under load, and easier to set up. |
