Product details

IN STORE PICKUP OR LOCAL DELIVERY ONLY

Hydraulink Trails and the climbs around Knox Mountain feel a little more approachable with a quiet motor helping you back up the hill for another lap. The Trek Fuel EXe 8 XT blends the natural handling of a traditional trail bike with the TQ-HPR50's subtle, compact pedal assist, giving you 150mm of front travel and 140mm out back through Fox suspension, a reliable Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain, and enough extra push to log more descents in a day without a bulky, buzzy motor weighing the ride down.

KEY FEATURES

Frame: Alpha Platinum Aluminum frame with a removable battery, internal routing, Mino Link geometry adjustment, and ABP suspension design (140mm travel)

Motor: TQ-HPR50 motor, ultra-compact and quiet, with 50Nm of torque and 300 watts of peak power

Battery: TQ 360Wh removable battery, charged with a TQ 4A charger; charge time [VERIFY]

Fork / Rear Shock: Fox Rhythm 36 fork with Float EVOL air spring and GRIP damper (150mm travel), paired with a Fox Performance Float X 2-position shock (140mm travel)

Drivetrain: Shimano XT M8100 12-speed shifter and long-cage rear derailleur, Ethirteen Espec Plus crank (32T)

Brakes: Shimano M6120 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with Shimano RT66 203mm rotors

Cockpit: Bontrager Line alloy handlebar (780mm width, 27.5mm rise), Bontrager Elite stem, and a Bontrager Line dropper post (100–170mm travel depending on size)

Standout feature: Removable TQ battery and a sleek top-tube display with minimal remote keep the cockpit clean, natural, and closer to a non-assisted trail bike

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This bike suits a trail rider who wants the natural handling and light weight of a traditional bike but appreciates a subtle boost for longer days linking up climbs on Knox Mountain or repeat laps through Hydraulink Trails. It's a strong fit for someone who rides regularly with unassisted friends and wants to keep pace without the bulk and buzz of a heavier, full-power e-MTB. They'll appreciate the quiet TQ motor, the removable battery, and Shimano XT's reliable, low-maintenance shifting.

Our team at Fresh Air will help you find the right fit in-store at both Kelowna locations. Stop by to work with one of our experienced staff members, or call 250-763-3425.

FAQ

Q1: What size Trek Fuel EXe 8 XT do I need?
The Fuel EXe 8 XT comes in four sizes — S, M, L, and XL — each with dropper post travel and cockpit dimensions scaled to fit. General sizing follows your height and riding style, but the best way to confirm your size is an in-person fit — our team at either Kelowna location can get you set up correctly.

Q2: Is the Fuel EXe 8 XT right for Knox Mountain or Hydraulink Trails?
Yes — with 150mm/140mm of travel, a capable Fox suspension package, and grippy 29x2.5" tyres, the Fuel EXe 8 XT handles the climbs and technical sections on Knox Mountain and Hydraulink Trails confidently, with the TQ motor helping take the edge off repeated laps.

Q3: How far can I ride on a single charge, and what factors affect range?
Range on the Fuel EXe 8 XT is highly dependent on terrain, climbing, assist mode, and rider weight, so Trek doesn't publish a single fixed mileage figure for this e-MTB [VERIFY exact range for your riding conditions]. Our team can walk you through assist mode strategy and battery management to help you get the most out of a ride.
